About

Galmi Hospital is owned and operated by SIM International, an interdenominational Christian mission that works worldwide to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in communities where He is least known.  SIM is convinced that no one should live or die without hearing God’s good news.  At Galmi Hospital we practice that conviction and seek to provide our patients with both compassionate medical treatment and life-transforming spiritual care.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the SIM Galmi Hospital is to glorify the name of Jesus Christ by demonstrating the love of God through physical and spiritual healing, proclaiming the gospel, and making disciples.

Our Vision

Galmi Hospital participates in the SIM Niger vision of a holy mature church, transforming Niger and beyond when

*patients and families experience Jesus through compassionate and competent medical care,

*the gospel is proclaimed, heard and believed,

*each person receives spiritual care and the healing that Christ offers, and

*as we grow as disciples, we intentionally disciple others.

Our History

The SIM Galmi Hospital was founded in 1950 by an American pioneering missionary doctor and his wife who was a nurse.  Over the years our medical facility has grown and experienced countless changes.  But one thing has remained the same: our identity as a center for compassionate care that brings the Gospel to the people of Niger.
