Surgeons
Starting in July 2017 we are looking for additional surgeons to help to meet the high level of the surgical demands that we face. We need general surgeons, as well as surgeons with other specialities, to volunteer with us. This role includes working alongside African PAACS residents as well as Nigerien OR staff. All lengths of service accepted.
Malaria Season Coverage
Each year from the end of July through November we are always in need of extra pediatricians, family medicine practitioners, general physicians and internal medicine doctors to help share the burden of a significantly increased patient case load do to high rates of malaria and severe malnutrition. During this time we could also use additional assistance in the hospital laboratory, such as phlebotomists, lab techs, and pathologists. All lengths of service accepted.
Finance
Starting in June 2017 we will be needing help in our finance office. If you, or someone you know, is a qualified accountant, please don’t hesitate to contact us. At least some basic conversational French language skill is preferred.
Volunteer Housing Manager
In November 2017 our short-term housing coordinator/guesthouse manager positions will become vacant. These positions can be combined to be filled by one person, or separated into two roles. These roles focus on managing the housing needs of our many volunteers. All lengths of service considered, 6 months-2 years preferred.
Physiotherapist
We are looking for a physiotherapist willing to help from October-December 2017 to help with our increased orthopedic case load. Shorter and longer lengths of service are able to be considered. Must be willing to work alongside of a Nigerien therapy assistant in order to model skills and professionalism.
